In 2013, Illinois Baptists began a North American Missions focus/partnership with Native American Ministries. We have information to help IBSA churches engage Native American Ministries around the country. Opportunities for Illinois Baptist Churches include:
Bayou Baptist Association is located about 60 miles southwest of New Orleans in “Bayou Country.” There are several Native American Churches in this association which are open to mission teams coming to serve with them in this area.

True Vine Baptist Church, Bristow, OK. This church also received an Illinois Baptist Mission Team in 2013-14. Don Tiger (see above) planted this church several years ago and a new pastor is now coming on the field. Montana Indian Ministries

Alaska Missions provides an open door for churches in America to serve and share the gospel in a variety of different settings and locations in Alaska. Many of their ministry opportunities involve outreach to Native American indigenous groups in Alaska. Alaska Missions takes care of many logistical details for teams while you bring the people from your church. This ministry is led by an MSC Missionary of the North American Mission Board.
