IB: Nominations needed for boards, committees

IBSA’s Nominating Committee and the Committee on Committees are seeking recommendations for people to serve on the state association’s three boards and six standing committees.

The Nominating Committee, chaired by Stephen Diehl of Cornerstone Baptist in Champaign, nominates pastors and laypeople to serve as members of the Association’s three governing boards. In 2015, IBSA’s board of directors needs three new members; Baptist Foundation of Illinois needs two new trustees; and Baptist Children’s Home and Family Services needs one new trustee. Members of all boards serve three-year terms.

The Committee on Committees, chaired by Ken Schultz of Crosswinds Church in Plainfield, nominates people to serve on IBSA’s six standing committees. The Committee on Committees needs 19 new members to serve on next year’s order of business, nominating, credentials, constitution, resolutions and historical committees. Each committee member serves a three-year term.

Nomination forms are available by calling Sandy Barnard at (217) 391-3107, or here:
