A church can post a position on the web. Pastors and staff can select the positions they are seeking and the churches with those positions will appear. When the church fills the position they are seeking they can submit a position filled form to IBSA, and we will delete their position from our list.

Submit a Resume

Submit a resume:  All staff persons and pastors seeking a church vocation can submit a resume summary. These resume summaries will be sent to any church seeking a staff member or pastor. They will also be sent on a monthly basis to Directors of Missions in Illinois.

Modify or delete your resume: If you currently have a resume on file with us you may modify or delete it online. (You must be logged in to the account you used to create the resume.)

Get Started

  • Build a strong resume

  • Grow your network

  • Use Social Media – such as LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.

  • Use a professional e-mail - avoid nicknames in you e-mail ID

Get prepared

  • Know your strengths

  • Know the your self and the characteristics of the church that will allow you to thrive

  • Research church and the church’s community

  • Anticipate the questions the search team might ask

  • Write out the questions you will ask the committee
