For each dollar a church gives through the Cooperative Program 56.75 cents are used in Illinois and 43.25 cents are used by the Southern Baptist Convention.
The Cooperative Program strengthens churches in Illinois through Church Consultation Services through the IBSA staff; leadership development opportunities/training; camping facilities (Lake Sallateeska and Streator), pastor/ staff search committees support; youth/children activities, and senior adult activities.
Half of the 43.25 cents of the Cooperative Program dollar sent to the Southern Baptist Convention is used to support the evangelistic efforts of the International Mission Board. The remaining amount is divided with 23 percent going to the North American Mission Board, 21 percent to six Southern Baptist seminaries and 6 percent to miscellaneous causes.
