The vision for CPT is a New Testament church within easy reach of every person in Illinois. Our state has over 12 million people and 8.2 million of those people have no relationship with Jesus Christ. Our team wants to work with the local churches and associations to impact those people. We believe that one of the best ways to reach them is to plant churches that will meet them in their context.
To do that we have divided our team into three units: People Group, Next Generation and Lay/Bivocational. Each team is equipped to impact a specific arena of lostness, also knowing they will cross-over and work together in many of the places Illinois Baptists plant new work. The People Group team is here to equip and help the church impact the many ethnic and language groups that exist in our state. The Next Gen team is designed to connect churches to college students and young adults in
Illinois. The Lay/Bivo team is here to help the church mobilize the people in our churches to plant new work in many areas that will not or can not support a full time planter. For more information about church planting, please email one of the team members below.
