The Mission Illinois Offering and Week of Prayer is our annual focus on state missions. From Chicago to Cairo, East St. Louis to Westville, and points in between, IBSA churches are being equipped and strengthened to share Christ, baptize new believers, and make disciples.
Our neighbors need to know Jesus Christ. Our children and teens need to grow in their faith. Our churches need strong leaders and clear vision. Our communities need a gospel witness – because in many places there is none.
The offering and prayer focus is scheduled for the second full week in September. Churches may choose, however, to have a special season for state missions at any time of the year. Some churches choose to combine the state missions season with local or other missions emphases.
All funds collected for the Mission Illinois Offering (or designated for Mission Illinois by the church) go toward missions in Illinois. The gifts support the work of IBSA, including church planting, church health and growth, and a variety of missions works.
Visit the Mission Illinois Offering website for video stories produced for use by IBSA churches. And you can download mission facts about Illinois and Bible studies about missions for children, students, and adults.
