Illinois Baptist
Missionary means “one who is sent.” In this age of globalization, we are finding that we can actually reach the nations in our own communities. We no longer have to ask the question, “Where is God sending me to?” Rather, we can ask, “Who is God leading me to reach?”
At the end of the day, missions is all about the people we impact, whether it is sharing the gospel in a far away place, or helping the needy in our own communities. Jesus calls us to always be on mission, to be witnesses of him to the ends of the earth.
Passion Ministries are all about showing compassion to people in our own communities by meeting day to day needs. Helping people’s physical needs is a great way to share the love of Christ and meet their spiritual needs.
Peoples Ministries are all about reaching the peoples of the earth. With a focus on Unreached People Groups, Peoples Ministries goes on trips to help share the gospel in Illinois, throughout the United States, and across the world.
People and Passion. Two missional movements reaching the same goal: to share the good news of Jesus. It may seem like an overwhelming task, and you may not know where you and your church should start. We here at the IBSA have made it very easy to evaluate your church’s priorities and passions using our Compassion and Mission Assessments.
After completing the Mission and/or Compassion Assessments, it is now time to look into the possibility of forming a partnership with a person or group that can help your church reach its potential and most effectively share the gospel.
Join with the IBSA to spread the word of God across Illinois, the United States, and throughout the entire world.
Serve those who have suffered from a natural disaster Join with other trained volunteers to serve with chainsaws, flood/mud out, shower & feeding units, childcare and chaplains.
