Camp Cook Information
- We are seeking a cook to fill position of camp cook at Streator Baptist Camp.
- We cook for groups ranging from 30-150 guests
- Cooks will be responsible leading a team of volunteers and staff in meal prep, cooking, serving, and clean up of scheduled meals.
- Cooks will serve during the summer camp season, with the option to cook for any weekend retreats that want us to cook during the rest of the year.
- Cooks will be responsible for following all food handling and sanitations safety procedures.
Requirements
- Must be able to cook
- Must be able to lead others
- Must be kind and welcoming to camp guests
- Must be able to take direction and arrive for work on time
- Must be able to pass a food sanitation managers license class that will be provided by the camp
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to complete child safe training provided by the camp on the first day of work
Pay
This position has a base pay of $15-$18 an hour, but the pay can be discussed during an interview.
