Children
investing in the next generation
IBSA’s Kids Ministry helps your church reach and lead children to become growing followers of Jesus Christ. Through regional and statewide gatherings and events, we provide support and training for children’s ministry staff, leaders, and volunteer. We also provide safe, fun, gospel focused events for children from IBSA churches to attend, like dynamic summer camp and children’s mission opportunities.
SAFE cHURCH
It is imperative that churches develop policies and procedures that can provide a safe place for children and their families. IBSA has gathered numerous resources for your church to guide you in the development of protection policies. Our IBSA training directors are also available to lead a child protection training at your church where your team can learn together and ask questions.
Trainings
The Gospel is unchanging, but society, technology, and the challenges kids face continually change. IBSA offers leadership and skills trainings in kids ministry to help churches do their best in sharing the best news ever. The IBSA Growth Team partners with local Baptist associations to offer Vacation Bible School trainings throughout Illinois in late winter and spring, and in the fall hosts the Illinois Kids Ministry Conference in Springfield, just for ministry staff and key volunteers. Check the calendar below.
summer camps
IBSA offers multiple weeks of Kids Summer Camps at both of our camp properties at Streator Baptist Camp and Lake Sallateeska Baptist Camp. Camps are held every year during June and July. See the calendar below for dates and details.
