The Darla Lovell Missions Education Award is given to young women who have been highly involved with Acteens in their church, their association and in state Acteens service opportunities. The award may also be given to women who have exhibited a consistent commitment to missions. Darla Lovell served as a Missionary Journeyman in Uganda from 1990 until her untimely death in 1991. She desired to become a career missionary following her two-year journeyman experience. Darla was deeply involved with Illinois Acteens, serving on the State Acteen Panel, WMU Camp staff and as an Acteen Activator. Her home church was First Baptist Church of Effingham, Illinois. The deadline to apply is June 15.
