Priority is a gathering of like-minded women intentional about being a disciple who makes disciples. 

We will gather for ONE conference, over TWO DAYS (April 24-25), in THREE different locations across the state of Illinois. 

Its a chance for women celebrate God’s faithfulness through worship and studying God’s word; equip themselves to live as a follower of Jesus through educational breakout sessions and leave ready to return to their area of ministry reminded that they are not alone on their journey.  Priority is planned with you in mind.  You are our community.

There will be live worship, breakouts, and expo halls at all locations, and the main teaching sessions will be broadcast from Decatur to the other 2 locations.

SPEAKERS

Tina boesch

Tina Boesch serves as manager for the Lifeway Women Bible Study Publishing Team. Before joining Lifeway, she and her husband, Brett, served for 19 years with the International Mission Board. All three of her children—Lois, Micah, and Naomi—were born while their family was living in Central Asia. Tina earned a BA in Philosophy at Wake Forest University and an MA in theology at Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia. She loves art, theology, travel, exploring and understanding different cultures and believes the beauty of God's Word and the givenness of His beloved Son Jesus are for all peoples in all nations. She’s the author of Given: The Forgotten Meaning and Practice of Blessing, and has contributed to publications like the Lifeway Women Bible study line, Christianity Today, and The Gospel Coalition. Sandy Wisdom-Martin

Sandy Wisdom-Martin serves as executive director-treasurer for national WMU in Birmingham, Alabama. Prior to this post, she led WMU of Texas as executive director from 2010-2016. She also served as women’s missions and ministries director for the Illinois Baptist State Association from 2001-2010 and served in the areas of WMU and Church and Community Ministries with Arkansas Baptist State Convention from 1991-2001. Born and raised in southern Illinois, Sandy is married to Frank Martin. They have one daughter, Hannah.

Rebecca Naylor

Rebekah Ann Naylor, graduate of Baylor University and Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, completed a general surgery residency at Parkland Hospital, Dallas. Rebekah was appointed by the Southern Baptist Convention’s International Mission Board as a missionary to Bangalore Baptist Hospital, India, in 1973. Her missionary career included clinical practice, administrative responsibility, and teaching. In the 1990’s she organized training programs in allied health disciplines, set up accredited residency training programs for doctors, initiated a chaplaincy training program, and established the Rebekah Ann Naylor School of Nursing. Throughout, Rebekah was involved in church development ministry. After 36 years of field service, she became the Director of Global Health Strategies for the IMB, retiring in 2023. Awards include Surgical Humanitarian Award from the American College of Surgeons, honorary doctorate of missiology from Oklahoma Baptist University, the 2022 Pro Ecclesia Medal of Service from Baylor University, and honorary Doctor of Divinity from Dallas Baptist University in 2024. Nic & Ruth Ripken

Nik Ripken is considered the world's leading expert on Christian persecution, especially in Muslim contexts. He and his wife Ruth are missions veterans of 37 years, having served primarily in North Africa and the Middle East. He is the author of The Insanity of God, The Insanity of Obedience, and The Insanity of Sacrifice. Their feature length documentary film, The Insanity of God, released in theaters in 2016, and is now available globally in 5 languages. He and his wife have done extensive research on over 600 believers in persecution in approximately 72 countries. They released a global, video-based teaching series in Fall 2024 that will serve as a definitive guide to preparing, sending, and going as sheep among wolves. Nik and Ruth are the proud parents of 3 boys, 2 daughters-in-love, and two precious grandchildren.

WORSHIP LEADERS

DECATUR: Melissa milbourn

Melissa serves as Worship and Media Minister at Marshall Baptist Church. She also has a passion for leading worship at women’s events across the country and is continually inspired by the women she meets. Melissa is wholeheartedly devoted to leading people closer to Christ. She is married to Denny and they have three adult children and eight grandchildren.
